FAQs

  • I have sent my mobile phone but I am yet to receive payment. Why is this?

The price you have found to recycle your mobile phone is from a phone buyer such as Envirofone, Fonebank or Mazuma. Recycle Mobile Phones do not directly buy the phones ourselves. We act and operate as a price comparison site, pointing you in the direction of the recycling company that offers you the best current price for your make and model of mobile phone.

Your phone is sent direct to the phone buyer you have chosen to sell your mobile phone to and it is this mobile phone recycling company you will need to speak to directly.

Visit http://www.recyclemobilephones.co.uk/help-and-support/ where you will find a link to all the phone buyers we feature on our site.

  • How do I know if my mobile phone has been received yet?

  • Do I need to pay for postage?

Generally speaking you do not have to pay for postage. Almost all of the phone buyers we feature offer a Freepost service. Most will now send you a Freepost postage bag so you do not even need to package the phone yourself.

If you do need to send your phone to a phone buyer using their Freepost service we advise you to take it to a Post Office and get a Proof of Postage. Then if your phone does not get delivered then you can claim up to £32 from the Royal Mail.

If you are sending a phone or phones that are worth more than this value we would recommend sending this by either registered post or Special Delivery as this will provide insurance for up to £500. The cost for this will generally be about £2-£5 and you can track your parcel to ensure it arrives.
